How did you use NCLEX Bootcamp to prepare for the NCLEX?

I passed the NCLEX on my first try, and I owe a huge part of my success to Bootcamp. After graduating, I dedicated the entire month leading up to my exam to studying using only this platform. NCLEX Bootcamp’s question bank and detailed rationales truly mirrored the real NCLEX. I felt like I was still on the site while taking the actual test. Their comprehensive study tools, including case studies, SATA practice, and bow tie scenarios, helped me master tricky concepts and apply critical thinking under pressure. I also used Mark Klimek’s audio lectures alongside Bootcamp for extra reinforcement, which made understanding tough topics so much easier.

I studied daily, completed practice exams, and reviewed every question thoroughly, even the ones I got right. My study partner and I would meet over Zoom to work through questions together, which kept me motivated and accountable. On exam day, I went all the way to 150 questions and was mentally drained, but I walked out feeling confident. Two days later, I purchased the quick results and saw that I passed! NCLEX Bootcamp prepared me better than I ever imagined. If you’re serious about passing, I highly recommend it 100%!

What did you struggle with most while you were studying for the NCLEX?

While preparing for the NCLEX using Bootcamp, the biggest struggle I faced was staying consistent and managing anxiety. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of content I needed to cover especially areas like SATA and prioritization questions. I often second guessed myself, even when I knew the material. NCLEX Bootcamp helped ease that pressure by breaking things down into manageable sections with clear explanations. Still, it was hard to push through the days when I felt like I wasn’t improving.

Another area I struggled with was critical thinking. I realized early on that memorization wouldn't help me pass this exam. I had to truly understand why certain answers were correct, and Bootcamp’s rationales helped train me to think like a nurse. The case studies and bow tie questions also challenged me, but over time, I saw my confidence grow.

It wasn’t easy to stay disciplined every day, especially when I felt discouraged or burned out. But I reminded myself of my goal daily, used the Bootcamp study calendar, and leaned on friends for accountability. Looking back, the struggle was worth it. Pushing through those tough moments is what ultimately helped me succeed.

What is one piece of advice you would give to another student preparing to take the NCLEX?

To anyone preparing for the NCLEX, you’ve got this! I know how overwhelming and stressful it can feel, but let me remind you: you’ve already made it through nursing school, clinicals, and countless exams. That in itself is a huge achievement. The NCLEX is just the final step to becoming the nurse you’ve worked so hard to be.

When I was studying, I had days where I doubted myself, felt burned out, and questioned if I was truly ready. But using Bootcamp gave me structure, confidence, and a clear plan. The questions, rationales, and realistic practice exams helped me see my progress over time. If you’re struggling, that’s okay it means you’re learning. Don’t aim for perfection; aim for progress.

Trust your preparation, take breaks when needed, and remind yourself of why you started. Surround yourself with supportive friends, use your resources wisely, and believe that you’re capable. The exam is challenging, but it’s not impossible. Stay focused, stay positive, and visualize the moment you see “PASS” on your results. That feeling is worth every ounce of effort.

You are stronger and smarter than you think. Keep pushing, you’re almost there. Future RN, your license is waiting for you!
