How did you use NCLEX Bootcamp to prepare for the NCLEX?
I used NCLEX Bootcamp as my primary study resource to prepare for the NCLEX-RN. I completed all of the question banks and carefully reviewed the rationales for both correct and incorrect answers. The rationales were one of the most helpful features because they provided the perfect amount of information to understand the concept without becoming overwhelming. I also used the cheat sheets regularly to review important content and reinforce key topics that I needed to remember. In addition, I completed the readiness exams to assess my progress and identify areas where I needed more practice. The video explanations were another valuable resource because they helped break down difficult concepts and improve my clinical reasoning skills. Overall, NCLEX Bootcamp helped me build confidence, strengthen my weak areas, and develop the critical thinking skills needed to successfully pass the NCLEX.
What did you struggle with most while you were studying for the NCLEX?
The biggest challenge I faced while studying for the NCLEX was learning how to answer questions the way the NCLEX expects you to think. The content itself was important, but I found that critical thinking and test-taking strategy were just as important. Many questions had multiple answers that seemed correct, so I had to learn how to identify the safest and most appropriate nursing action. I also struggled with pharmacology, especially remembering medication adverse effects and distinguishing between similar drugs. Repetition, practice questions, and reviewing rationales helped me improve in these areas. Over time, I became more confident in recognizing patterns, prioritizing patient safety, and applying my knowledge to NCLEX-style questions rather than simply memorizing facts.
What is one piece of advice you would give to another student preparing to take the NCLEX?
One piece of advice I would give to another student preparing for the NCLEX is to trust yourself and the work you have already put in. Take your time when answering questions and do not rush through the exam. The NCLEX is designed to test your critical thinking, so carefully read each question. It is easy to become anxious, but remember that you have successfully completed nursing school and earned the opportunity to sit for this exam. You deserve to be there just as much as anyone else. I also recommend taking the day before the exam to relax rather than trying to cram more information. Get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast the morning of your exam, and go in with confidence. Trust your preparation and do your best.
