How did you use NCLEX Bootcamp to prepare for the NCLEX?
I used NCLEX Bootcamp as my primary resource to prepare for the exam because it gave me both structure and variety. I started with the content review lessons in each section to make sure I had a strong foundation. From there, I did daily practice question sets and carefully reviewed the rationales to understand not only why an answer was correct, but also how to apply that reasoning in different scenarios. As my test date got closer, I shifted my focus to the readiness exams and Next-Gen case studies. These were especially helpful in building my critical thinking, time management, and stamina so I could walk into the NCLEX feeling confident and prepared.
What did you struggle with most while you were studying for the NCLEX?
What I struggled with most was balancing content review with practice questions. At first, I found myself spending too much time trying to review every detail instead of applying the knowledge to NCLEX-style questions. I also had to adjust to the Next-Gen format, since it tested my critical thinking in a different way than traditional questions. To overcome this, I focused on practicing daily question sets, reviewing rationales in depth, and taking readiness exams to build my confidence and stamina. This helped me shift from memorizing content to really thinking like a nurse and applying concepts.
What is one piece of advice you would give to another student preparing to take the NCLEX?
One piece of advice I would give is to focus on understanding why an answer is correct rather than just memorizing facts. The NCLEX is really about critical thinking and applying knowledge in different scenarios. Practicing daily questions, reviewing rationales carefully, and taking readiness exams to simulate the real test can make a huge difference. Consistency is key—doing a little each day is more effective than cramming. Most importantly, trust your preparation and go into the exam with confidence.
