"I highly recommend Bootcamp all the way to Step 1, for primary content learning and review. It helped me where UWorld could not."

Med School Bootcamp made the difference for me late in the preclinical phase and during my dedicated period studying for Step 1. I wish I had used it earlier! Especially for neurology, this content is gold.

I decided to use Bootcamp as my primary study resource while learning neuro and received massive dividends by doing so. For the anatomy portion of neuro I was extremely worried for neuroanatomy and bootcamp was honestly better than what I had been using up to that point (Blue link, Netters, Logans). They have videos, an atlas and questions on BOTH identification and applications. Definitely the best resource for 2nd order anatomy and histology questions in bulk during preclinical phase.

Finally Med School Bootcamp significantly improved my weak areas in preparation for Step 1. I took my weakest areas from UWorld, did the matching video modules in Bootcamp and brought each weak area ABOVE the passing threshold one subject at a time.

I highly recommend Bootcamp all the way to Step 1, for primary content learning and review. It helped me where UWorld could not.

"Bootcamp has been an amazing resource when it comes to learning material in a focused, concise way. The videos feature high-yield topics only and are taught by engaging instructors."

Bootcamp has been an amazing resource when it comes to learning material in a focused, concise way. The videos feature high-yield topics only and are taught by engaging instructors who are knowledgeable about the subject. Its integration with Anking flashcard tags makes it especially useful for reviewing material without having to put much thought into which cards unsuspend. Overall, I’ve greatly enjoyed using this resource and its been extremely helpful in not only passing my medical school exams, but doing well on the practice NBME exams as well.

"Bootcamp has been incredibly beneficial, especially for a visual learner like me. The detailed diagrams and interactive elements are key in making complex information more understandable."

Diving into Med School Bootcamp has been incredibly beneficial, especially for a visual learner like me. The detailed diagrams and interactive elements are key in making complex information more understandable. The quiz bank and the corresponding Anki deck are effective for testing my knowledge and reinforcing learning through spaced repetition. And the anatomy section is particularly impressive, with its combination of lessons, quizzes, and real cadaver images greatly enhancing my grasp of the human body. It's direct, useful, and precisely what I needed for med school success.

"The practice questions are incredibly beneficial and the board-style and lesson review questions help me in better identifying my pitfalls and topics that I need a better understanding of."

The Med School Bootcamp program has been an incredible source of information for me as I navigate my first year in medical school. Efficient and succinct with each lesson topic, I’ve been able to quickly learn the clinical pearls for diseases of various organ systems and supplement the material from my medical school. With an additional emphasis on high yield topics for Step 1 and board-style questions, this resource has helped me with early preparation for my upcoming board exams. The practice questions are incredibly beneficial for my learning and the board-style and lesson review questions help me in better identifying my pitfalls and topics that I need a better understanding of. Medical school has many moving parts, roles, and opportunities, and it was important for me to find a resource that allowed me to use my time wisely. Learning through Bootcamp has helped me learn in multiple ways at once, and it has provided me with the flexibility of having more time for other activities that I am passionate for!

"Its detailed clinical images and Anatomy Bootcamp have given me a significant head start in understanding what I later see in cadavers, making my practical sessions more insightful."

Med School Bootcamp has been an invaluable asset in my first year of medical school, especially for pre-learning material before lectures. Its detailed clinical images and anatomy bootcamp have given me a significant head start in understanding what I later see in cadavers, making my practical sessions more insightful. The program brilliantly fills in knowledge gaps in more challenging areas, providing a deeper and clearer understanding of complex medical concepts. As a visual learner, the videos, handouts, and practice question solution descriptions are instrumental in my prep for our NBME-style exams. Truly, Med School Bootcamp has been instrumental in reinforcing my classroom learning and enhancing my overall medical education experience and success.

"My favorite part is definitely the review questions between videos and at the end of a video series. It helps break up the content so you’re not monotonously watching an hour long video."

I really like Med School Bootcamp for my Step 1 prep. I like the user interface a lot more than other similar resources.

My favorite part is definitely the review questions between videos and at the end of a video series. It helps break up the content so you’re not monotonously watching an hour long video. It also basically serves as built in retention which is so crucial for an exam like this.

Overall Bootcamp is an invaluable resource and is the backbone of my prep.

Med School Bootcamp has been a life saver for me. I personally learn well through videos followed by questions. The "bite-sized" questions are a perfect place for me to start thinking about basic concepts critically, and the board style questions really help me put everything together. All of the instructors have a way of consistently presenting topics in an accessible way.

"The videos are very high yield and the information is explained so well in these 10 - 30 min videos as they not only mention the important points, but explain the mechanisms or reasonings behind it."

Med School Bootcamp has been an incredible resource for me. The videos are very high yield and the information is explained so well in these 10 - 30 min videos as they not only mention the important points, but explain the mechanisms or reasonings behind it so you’re understanding the content and not just memorizing it. Having all the information on one slide also makes it so easy to consolidate my notes and quickly review the content.

Highly recommend using Bootcamp!

"Bootcamp became my primary resource for not just learning new information, but also reinforcing it with the built-in question bank."

As someone who is not a visual learner, I struggled to find alternatives to some of the other, more image-heavy resources. Bootcamp became my primary resource for not just learning new information, but also reinforcing it with the built-in question bank. I followed the 9-Week Step 1 Study Schedule to prepare for COMLEX and passed it on my attempt with no problem! I only wish that I knew about Bootcamp when I was taking first year Anatomy.

"I found Bootcamp’s question bank to be the most similar to the actual exam in terms of style and difficulty."

I took my exam on 5/20 and got my results on 6/14 and I had a couple friends who wanted to know what I did in order to pass. First, I'd like to say that overall my exam was very similar to the free 120s, Bootcamp qbank, and UWorld/Amboss.

I used Bootcamp for my exam and it was more than perfect for when I needed to review the content. It's organized by subjects and has many quizzes testing your understanding of the material after each video. They've been around for a while and they've certainly improved overtime and I have no doubt they’ve surpassed BnB in quality and will surpass BnB in popularity in the near future. While it may not have been a primary recommendation five years ago, it most certainly is now.

I found Bootcamp’s question bank to be the most similar to the actual exam in terms of style and difficulty. I think their question bank is decently sized as well. In all honesty, UWorld and Amboss was decently similar as well in terms of style but more difficult than the actual exam.

"The main source I used for content review was Bootcamp, which I LOVED. I had used Boards and Beyond during the school year, and while it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t for me."

After spending 6 weeks in dedicated and 2 weeks after waiting for my score, I found out I PASSED Step 1! The biggest thing I learned from this whole experience is that you truly know SO MUCH more than you think. Go in confident and just remind yourself that YOU are capable! Here are my stats:

  • US DO Student - Took exam 6/13
  • UWorld - 55% complete, 56% correct
  • UWorld SA1 - 56% (4 weeks out)
  • NBME 29 - 69% with 97% chance of passing (3 weeks out)
  • NBME 30 - 67% with 96% chance of passing (2 weeks out)
  • NBME 31 - 78% with 99% chance of passing (1 week out)
  • Free 120 - 80% (3 days out)

The main source I used for content review was Bootcamp, which I LOVED. I had used Boards and Beyond during the school year, and while it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t for me. I’m much more of a visual learner and the images Bootcamp used in conjunction with seeing the instructor in the corner instead of just hearing a voice helped me a TON! It’s also great to hear from different instructors for different subject areas. Not to mention it was also super helpful to have the questions in between lessons to solidify info I had just reviewed. If you’re looking for a refresh from BnB I’d definitely recommend Bootcamp!

I really struggled with immunology and my medical school didn’t have a strong foundation when it came to that so I knew I had to focus a lot of my content review there. Probably one of the best modules within Bootcamp in my opinion - it was so easy to follow and to truly understand. I left the immuno unit feeling like I could nail every immuno question thrown at me, and it definitely showed with my UWorld blocks, NBMEs, and on the real deal. Their cardio and neuro units were also top notch and such great quality.

On top of Bootcamp, I also used Pathoma as my main source of path review - I watched the videos while following along in the book and making annotations. I reviewed Ch 1-3 the weekend before my exam and the night before and I’m glad I did! Dirty medicine was my main source for biochem review. He is the BEST and makes it so easy to follow and understand what you need to know for boards - don’t get caught up in the nuances of the pathways. Focus on the big picture and disease centered biochem. For me, First Aid was used solely as a supplement, for any clarification that I needed on certain topics.

Step 1 is a beast of an exam, there’s no doubt about it. Trust in yourself, focus on strengthening your weaknesses, and you will definitely be in good shape! Rooting for you all!
