515 (91st Percentile)

Where were you when you started using MCAT Bootcamp, and what was your biggest struggle?

I discovered Bootcamp a month and a half before my exam. When I started using MCAT Bootcamp, my biggest struggle was learning how to take advantage of the information presented in the passages. I knew the content, but I did not know the often-mentioned “AAMC logic.” This is where Bootcamp really shined. Through their passages, I began to learn exactly what to look for in the text and began developing strategies for those difficult B/B pathways questions and challenging C/P questions.

What specifically about Bootcamp made the biggest difference for you?

The videos explaining what was correct and how to interpret the logic was incredibly helpful. When test day came, I employed those exact same strategies from the videos and the tips from the MCAT cheat sheets to save time. Using these strategies, I was able to have over 20 minutes left in each section to check my work! The Bootcamp cheat sheets were pivotal for memorizing the equations and units I needed for Chem/Physics and the Bio/Biochemistry cheat sheets helped me make sure I had all the pathways down.

What was your final score, and what would you tell someone just starting their MCAT prep?

My final score was a 515(129 C/P, 127 CARS, 129 B/B, and 130 P/S). I started my MCAT prep with a diagnostic of 493 and thought it was hopeless. There were many times throughout the journey that I thought I was not cut out for this or that I would have to retake. I was very stressed but knowing that I put in the work and got exactly my FL average, I would tell myself to just put in the work, and believe in it come test day. I cannot wait to use Bootcamp in medical school.
