What kind of scrap paper do I get on the DAT?
When you go to the DAT testing center, you’ll be given one of three things:
- Two sheets of laminated graph paper, two dry erase markers, and tissue paper to erase.
- Two sheets of laminated graph paper, two dry erase markers, and NO tissue paper to erase. The markers are non-erasable, so if you run out of space to write, you can raise your hand and the proctor will exchange your two old laminated sheets for another two new sheets.
- Blank pieces of paper and markers.
The two sheets of laminated graph paper and two markers pretty much look like this:

One side of the laminated paper is gridded and the other side is blank.
The blank paper lacks the grid.
